DEC 22 to JAN 20: Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiac signs. They are independent and have many sterling qualities. Capricornians are hard working, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible and persevering. They are both humorous and reserved at the same time. Mood swings give them the nickname of "capricious" and they often suddenly become witty and subtle in place of the quiet reserved individuals they usually seem to be. The ruling planet is Saturn. The December birthstone is the Blue Topaz or Turquoise. The January birthstone is the Garnet. The Mystical Birthstone for December is the Onyx and January is the Emerald.
